The COVID-19 pandemic, wars, emerging frontiers, and geopolitical processes have led to changes in both the demand and supply sides of the tourism industry, requiring technological, environmental, economic, and social transitions. Italy needs to adopt a recovery and resilience plan for the tourism industry, requiring significant changes to the structure of the territorial tourist offer, businesses, and operators. The Italian Journal of Tourism aims to address these issues and invite researchers to contribute original articles.
