About the Journal
Turistica - Italian Journal of Tourism is the first Italian journal on tourism economics, marketing, and management. It is a quarterly open-access scientific publication that does not require any publication fees from authors for their contributions. It was established in 1991 by Emilio Becheri and is currently the reference journal of the Italian Society of Tourism Sciences (SISTUR).
The COVID-19 pandemic, wars, emerging frontiers, and geopolitical processes have led to changes in both the demand and supply sides of the tourism industry, requiring technological, environmental, economic, and social transitions. Italy needs to adopt a recovery and resilience plan for the tourism industry, requiring significant changes to the structure of the territorial tourist offer, businesses, and operators. The Italian Journal of Tourism aims to address these issues and invite researchers to contribute original articles.
